Now, by popular demand, in ebook version. A stunning new book showing how the Beatles’ song lyrics contain secret conversations between John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Varying between strong affection and outright hostility, these hidden messages clearly mirror the fluctuations the two Beatles were experiencing in their personal relationship at the time.
The Beatles themselves have made only fleeting references to this troubled phase. Paul McCartney acknowledges what he calls the “song wars” period, confirming that, at the time, “I was really writing a lot of songs to John.” John Lennon meanwhile played down the negative tone of his messages saying “I’m entitled to call Paul what I want and vice versa. It’s in our family”

What a wonderful little book. I loved this . I read it in just one day. The title leads one to believe that it is strictly about Paul and Johns back and forth song references but it actually is about all of them. I was surprised to find it was about all four former Beatles. I learned some new things which is great because a lot if what I read about them is stuff I already know. I have always felt somewhat sad about how everything was so ugly between them after the break up but this book helped me to see that they actually all still really cared deeply for each other even after the breakup and that some of the bridges had been mended( especially between John and Paul) and one line in particular made me see things just a bit differently. Its a Lennon quote and it basically said they could say those things to each other and it was okay cause they were family. Anyway, its a wonderful book and any fan will be pleased I think.Product details

Lennon Versus Mccartney the Beatles Inter Band Relationships and the Hidden Messages to Each Other In Their Song Lyrics edition by Adam Thomas Arts Photography eBooks Reviews
An interesting book but not without faults. I enjoyed reading, and finding nuggets I wasn’t aware of previously, but my biggest problem with this book is the lack of song lyrics. The bulk of the material relates to the messages The Beatles, especially John and Paul, laced into their songs. The problem is that the author relays the concept of the message, but doesn’t share the actual lyrics. I realize permission would have been needed, but the absence of the lyrics was somewhat problematic. I found myself constantly hopping over to Google to read the actual lyrics. The first half of the book is written in summary while the second half is broken down in a timeline chart. The information presented is intriguing, but the delivery could have been better. 3.5 Stars
I am in process of sending it back not what I thought a lot of money for such a small book.
Fantastic insight of John and Paul !
A must read Beatles, book. Superb details on their full relationships. More than I have ever thought possible , because ,fool that I am, I knew it all. It's a necessary factual must have. Get it.
